Tuesday, November 2 at 11:00 am, Julie Hedges, President of Hedges & Company, will speak about the SEMA Financial Benchmarking program in room N259 at the Las Vegas Convention Center. How does your business compare? The SEMA Financial Benchmarking Program was developed in order to provide SEMA members with financial benchmarks they could use to help measure and compare their business operations with others in the industry. Industry-specific key performance indicators are reported that can then be used by participants to improve or grow their businesses. The program provides business owners and managers information, such as: how year-to-date sales compare with other specialty-equipment companies; how shipping costs compare to those of other companies; and what other companies spend on advertising. This session will give a 1-year overview of industry results with over 6,500 entries. It will be quite revealing!
Wednesday, November 3 at 9:30 am, Jon Hedges will speak about automotive industry trends in room N259 at the Las Vegas Convention Center. Know where your company’s products and services need to be in 2011 and beyond to survive and profit. It’s critical to be aware of trends in consumer behavior, market dynamics and the Internet so you can make proactive strategic decisions. This session will examine current trends such as the impact of e-commerce, changes in email marketing, the evolution of distribution within our industry and how consumer behavior (especially online buying) is evolving. You will gain a clear understanding of current and future market dynamics that can help ensure your company’s profits and survival as you plan for the coming year.
