Search Marketing Expo (SMX) by Third Door Media is billed as the "world's largest search marketing conference series." In 2016 they have events scheduled for Silicon Valley in March, Munich, Germany in March, London in May, an advanced conference in Seattle in June, a conference in Paris in June, and New York City in September.

ad:tech is an interactive advertising and technology conference and expo promoted as "the event for modern marketing and media." There is a conference in New York, November 2 – 3, 2016 which unfortunately conflicts with the SEMA Show.

Q: How can I attend the next SEMA Online Marketing Conference?
A: The SEMA OMC is for SEMA Show attendees.

Q: What is SEMA ETTN?
A: The Emerging Trends and Technology Network (ETTN) is SEMA's newest council, available for members of SEMA. ETTN sponsored the 2013 SEMA Online Marketing Conference. For more information on the SEMA ETTN visit this page at SEMA.org.

Q: Who can attend the Conference?
A: The SEMA OMC and the SEMA Show are for the trade only. Consumers are not allowed. Admission to the SEMA Show as well as AAPEX are for the automotive trade only. Registrants might be asked to show proof of their affiliation with the automotive industry. If you plan on registering on-site for the SEMA Show, you will be asked to show two examples of proof you are employed in the automotive industry.

Q: How can I tell if I am eligible to attend the SEMA Show or the Online Marketing Conference?
A: Employees of the following types of companies are not eligible to attend the SEMA Show, the SEMA OMC or AAPEX:
• Any non-automotive affiliated companies
• Attorneys
• Freight providers
• Travel agencies
• Non-automotive graphics companies
• Affiliates of the exhibition industry
• Insurance agents

• Printers and packaging companies

Q: How much was registration for the Conference?
A: SEMA members could register for the conference for $119 before October 16, 2013, but it went up to $169. Non-members could register for $219 before October 16, but it went up to $269. This did not include registration for the SEMA Show, which must be paid separately. You needed to register for the SEMA Show first.

Q: Where was the Conference held?
A: It was held adjacent to the Las Vegas Convention Center (LVCC), at the Las Vegas Hotel (also called the 'LVH,' formerly the Las Vegas Hilton), Pavilion 10.

Q: How was the 2013 Conference at the SEMA Show different from other online marketing conferences?
A: This online marketing conference covered Internet marketing topics and issues specific to the automotive aftermarket.

Q: Were any Google Partner agencies at the 2013 conference or will they be at the 2014 conference?
A: We're not aware of any Google Partners that attended the OMC, however, Google employees gave presentations on online marketing as it relates to the automotive aftermarket on Tuesday, November 5, separate from the SEMA Online Marketing Conference.
